Good preparation is vital β cleaning, sanding, priming, and using weatherproof paints to protect against the elements.
Exterior painting is one of the most rewarding types of work I take on. Every property is different, whether itβs stone, brick, or render, but the aim is always the same: a clean, lasting finish that lifts the look of the whole home.
Modern Redbrick House (Nether Poppleton, York). Here, the focus was on modernising the front elevation of a redbrick house. A lot of preparation was involved on this classic conservatory to bring it back to it's former glory but worth the effort to achieve this crisp finish and completely sharpen the look of the property.
Garage & Front Elevation (Nether Poppleton, York). This job included timber replacement on the wooden panelling along with masonry repair on the render. The black-and-white scheme gives the house a smart, contemporary feel.
Stone Cottage Front (Haxby, York). This traditional stone cottage needed a careful refresh around its woodwork. The challenge here was blending new, crisp paintwork with the character of the old stone, without it looking out of place. It took two days of prep and painting, and the result is a bright, tidy frontage that complements the original materials.
Terrace house, backyard (The Groves). This exterior makeover features a stylish combination of modern and traditional elements. The uPVC French doors and window have been finished in a sleek black, creating a striking contrast against the rustic red brick. The outbuilding doors are painted in a soft light green adding a touch of charm and character and the newly installed decking has been stained to enhance the woods rich grain, providing a warm and inviting outdoor space.
